Detachable blades offer one cut length; are easily swapped out for a different blade to get a new cut length. May be used with attachment combs for additional cut lengths.

Fixed blades offer one cut length, cannot be detached or adjusted for different cut lengths, but may be replaced. May be used with attachment combs for additional cut lengths.
