"The Pulse ZR II is my right hand in the salon and it only made sense that we collab around my favorite tool."

Gabriel Feitosa, CELEBRITY PET STYLIST

For our latest Collab, Andis partners with the award-winning, celebrity pet stylist, Gabriel Feitosa, bringing fans a limited-edition colorway of the popular Pulse ZR II cordless clipper. Inspired by Gabriel’s viral exotic pet grooms, animal lovers are sure to go wild for this new design. Dedicated to demonstrating the artistry, creativity and passion of Andis’ top creators, the Creator Series tools are a reflection of each of the people who inspire them. Beyond style, these collaborations are also a vehicle to give back to organizations that better the lives of animals.

BRAZIL–THE BEGINNING
Many know Gabriel as the TikTok sensation, famous for his creative grooms featuring wild colors and imaginative designs. However, his popularity today is far from his humble beginnings in São Paulo, Brazil.

"I started grooming at the age of 12 in a small town outside of São Paulo. I used to take my sister’s dog to the salon and one day, I asked the groomer if she could teach me how to groom because I loved dogs. That’s where it all started – helping bathe dogs in the shop," said Gabriel.

What started as a chance encounter evolved into an after-school job where Gabriel learned the fundamentals of grooming. At 15, he continued to follow his new passion with a job at the renowned Hampton Court Kennels where he honed show grooming and specialty techniques for competition grooming.

"Even early in my career I loved using my creativity to showcase dogs," said Gabriel. "In Brazil, in my spare time, I worked with international pet photographer Johnny Duarte, preparing dogs for advertising campaigns, music videos, TV, magazines, pet product packaging, and even reference books – this helped me learn how to push creative boundaries."

A NEW PATH ON THE CREATIVE JOURNEY
In 2015, Gabriel’s life and career would change forever. Upon being introduced to Paul Flores, the owner of the Paray Kennel and one of the world’s top Bichon-Frise breeders, by Brazilian breeder, Leandro Levendosk, Gabriel was invited to the U.S. as an apprentice where he would learn dog structure and movement, show handling, and perfect his grooming skills. After years of hard work and dedication, Gabriel now owns a successful grooming salon in San Diego, works as an influencer for multiple consumer brands, and is a global educator for Andis.

THE COLLAB
"When I started talking to Andis about this clipper collab I knew I wanted to do something with the Pulse ZR II clipper," said Gabriel. "The versatility with detachable blades and 5 speeds is amazing – this clipper is my right hand in the salon and it only made sense that we collab around my favorite tool."

With the tool for the collab identified, Gabriel partnered with the Andis team to design a bold colorway inspired by his love of animals, Pokémon and all anime creatures.

"We took a modified cheetah pattern – one of my favorites – and infused it with this fun vibrant purple color. It looks amazing on the ZR II and I think groomers will love the color!"

The limited-edition Pulse ZR II cordless clipper in Gabriel’s Wild colorway features custom packaging, a charging stand, a ceramicEDGE size 10 blade, a storage case, and fun stickers featuring a dog mascot sporting the same pattern as the clipper.

GIVING BACK
Portions of the sales of this limited-edition Andis clipper will help make a difference in the pet community by supporting the animal welfare non-profit organization, RedRover, a charity that helps to bring animals out of crisis.

"We are extremely excited that because of this collab, Andis Foundation will donate up to $10,000 to RedRover as it works to bring animals out of crisis through emergency sheltering, disaster relief services, financial assistance and education," said Laura Andis Bishop, Andis Foundation President. "In addition, we will also be donating to the San Diego Humane Society, where our friend Gabriel volunteers his grooming time to help pets find their forever homes."
