Overcoming Perfectionism

Like most creatives, Tasha Montoya has a perfectionist streak in her. While a desire to get every cut perfect is great to have, it can create a lot of stress. Tasha's ability to put the focus on the pets and make them the priority enables her to find enjoyment and purpose in every groom.

I love grooming dogs for the local animal shelter. My favorite groom to date was a blind Cocker Spaniel who was found wandering around town, bumping into things. She was in horrible condition.


Dirty, matted, and scared. I had to shave all of her with a 10-inch blade.


She was adopted by a wonderful family and I have the pleasure of continuing to groom her. I am so impressed with her resilience and love knowing that I was able to help her find a loving home.
